Non-slip bath & shower coating in Brough, Shetland Islands
Non-slip bath coating for Brough, without a refit. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, then we come to you.
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
- Worn-out textured areas
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth

Should you replace it?
The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
What you get with us

Non-slip bath coating in Brough without replacing anything
The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Typical jobs include resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and worn-out textured areas, on enamelled baths, shower trays and resurfaced baths.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Brough as everywhere else we work. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Avoid scourers on the coating.

When to call us in Brough
Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, but wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Worn-out textured areas
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
What your quote should include
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- When it can be used again
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
When we would advise against a repair
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
What we work on

How the visit works
When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
- We mask out the area to be treated.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- We lift the masking for a clean edge.
- Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Open a window if you can
- Let us know which floor the room is on

Brough questions
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Will it make a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.
How do I clean it?
Yes. A soft brush and mild cleaner is all it needs.
How soon can you come?
We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.
Do you cover Brough?
We do. We send a technician to Brough for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

What non-slip bath coating costs
There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- What the surface is made of
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The size and number of damaged areas
- How many items we do on one visit
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.
Quotes from your pictures
Phone photos are fine. Just make sure we can see:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- One picture of the whole bath or shower tray
- Something in shot to show the size
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
Upload a photo of the damage and one of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Brough, and we will reply with a fixed price.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
