Trusted non-slip bath coating in Carmel

Non-slip bath coating in Carmel, done in place

It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Whether it’s worn-out textured areas and bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten, we can help.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Repairing versus replacing in Carmel

The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

What we are called out for in Carmel

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

What affects the price in Carmel

There’s no charge for travel to Carmel. The price depends on:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How many areas need work

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Carmel. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Any details about the material
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Carmel: your questions answered

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Usually, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Will I see the coating?

Only slightly: the treated area looks slightly matt.

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Do you work in Carmel?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Carmel and the rest of Flintshire. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Will you leave a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

When a repair is not the answer

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Resurfaced baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Shower trays
  • Enamelled baths

How it works

The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, typically overnight.
