Non-slip bath coating in Church Cove

How we handle non-slip bath coating in Church Cove

The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Whether it’s a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten, we can generally put it right, on acrylic baths, enamelled baths and wet room floors (ask us) alike.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Why repair rather than replace?

The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

For landlords and businesses

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.

When we’d advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Enamelled baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

The process

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we’re doing. After that, protection goes down around the work area and we start. It normally takes a morning or an afternoon, and we will tell you if anything changes.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. We lift the masking for a clean edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, normally overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

How we price non-slip bath coating

Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • What the surface is made of

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Getting a price from photos

When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Any details about the material
  • A photo taken from further back
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Questions from Church Cove

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

What does non-slip bath coating cost?

Every job gets a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

What happens after I send photos?

We come back with a fixed quote, typically with dates to choose from. There is no obligation to book.

Will I see the coating?

Very little: the treated area looks slightly matt.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.

Do you charge for travel?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

What areas do you cover?

We work UK-wide, and that includes Church Cove. Our prices are the same everywhere.
