Non-slip bath coating in Dilton Marsh

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Dilton Marsh

It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. We’re often asked to fix bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten and safety for older or less mobile people, across shower trays, wet room floors (ask us) and resurfaced baths.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Work for landlords and builders

For anyone letting property in or around Dilton Marsh, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.

How we price non-slip bath coating

A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • What the surface is made of
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Dilton Marsh. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Getting a price from photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

For a price in Dilton Marsh, the easiest route is photos: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Questions from Dilton Marsh

Do you charge for travel?

There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.

Do you work in Dilton Marsh?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to Dilton Marsh. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Dilton Marsh.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you will get one combined price.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Will I see the coating?

Very little: it shows as a matt area where you stand.

Can you quote from photos?

In nearly every case. If pictures do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Repair or replace: which is better?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Our hiring checklist

How the visit works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which usually takes a morning or an afternoon. If anything looks different from your photos, we will talk to you before going ahead.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
