Need non-slip bath coating in Fontwell?

What a repair can’t fix

A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Resurfaced baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Enamelled baths
  • Shower trays
  • Acrylic baths

How we handle non-slip bath coating in Fontwell

It suits older people, families and holiday lets. The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. We regularly repair shower trays, resurfaced baths and wet room floors (ask us), and the jobs we see most are resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and safety for older or less mobile people.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

When to call us in Fontwell

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, yet with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

The things customers normally mention when they call are:

  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Worn-out textured areas
  • Safety for older or less mobile people

What your quote should include

  • What preparation is included
  • When it can be used again
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • Who will actually do the work

10 questions to ask before booking

Should you replace it?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

What you get with us

What we do, step by step

Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a morning or an afternoon, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. We lift the masking for a clean edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

How to prepare

  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Fontwell questions

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

How much does non-slip bath coating cost in Fontwell?

Every job gets a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Is there a call-out fee?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Do you work in Fontwell?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Fontwell from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

What affects the price in Fontwell

We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. These are the things that affect it:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The material
  • How much damage there is

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed price

When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • One picture of the whole bath or shower tray
  • Any details about the material
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

If you’re in Fontwell and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
