Non-slip bath coating at your home in Gartocharn

It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. We work on wet room floors (ask us), enamelled baths and acrylic baths, and common reasons people contact us are safety for older or less mobile people and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

What non-slip bath coating costs

We do not charge extra for travel to Gartocharn. The price comes down to:

  • How much damage there is
  • What kind of damage it is
  • The material
  • How easy the damage is to reach

We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from pictures

Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • What it’s made of, if you know

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

What we cannot put right

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we work on in Gartocharn

  • Shower trays
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Enamelled baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Resurfaced baths

Why repair rather than replace?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Why book with us

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Everything repaired in place
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK

How it works

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Allow a morning or an afternoon from start to finish. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and how to care for it.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, normally overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

Getting a price

Upload a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, and tell us you are in Gartocharn, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Gartocharn

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Common problems we fix in Gartocharn

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten

10 questions to ask before you book

Gartocharn: your questions answered

How soon can you come?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

Will I see the coating?

Very little: it shows as a matt area where you stand.

What information do you need?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?

Yes. A soft brush and mild cleaner is all it needs.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

What happens next?

We review the photos and send a fixed quote with dates.
