- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Kimbridge
It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Common call-outs are for worn-out textured areas and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth, in resurfaced baths, acrylic baths and wet room floors (ask us).
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

How the visit works
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a morning or an afternoon. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- We clean and degrease the standing area.
- We mask out the area to be treated.
- The clear textured coating is applied.
- The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
- Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.
Before we arrive
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let us know about parking or access
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
Ask for a price
Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.

What we are called out for in Kimbridge
Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- Worn-out textured areas
What to look for in a quote
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- How soon you can use it again
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
Repair or replace: which is better?
Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating treats your existing bath or tray. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Kimbridge. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Landlord and trade work in Kimbridge
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
How we price non-slip bath coating
We charge the same across the UK, including Kimbridge. What changes the price is:
- How hard the colour is to match
- The material and finish
- Access to the area
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing normally costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send photos for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Any details about the material
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your SO51 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
