Do you need non-slip bath coating in Lower Easton?

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

Get in touch if you’ve noticed:

  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth

Choosing a repair company

Non-slip bath coating in Lower Easton, done in place

It suits older people, families and holiday lets. It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. We’re often asked to fix a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and worn-out textured areas, in shower trays, enamelled baths and wet room floors (ask us).

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

What affects the price in Lower Easton

You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • The type of damage
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Send pictures for a quote

You can take the pictures on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • The material, if you know it
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Why repair rather than replace?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • No need to remove anything
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • One-year guarantee on every repair

Read our prices page.

When a repair is not the answer

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Resurfaced baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Shower trays
  • Wet room floors (ask us)

How the visit works

You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, normally overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
