Trusted non-slip bath coating in Minehead

Non-slip bath coating in Minehead without replacing anything

It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. We are often asked to fix a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth, in resurfaced baths, acrylic baths and wet room floors (ask us).

A one-year guarantee comes as standard. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

When a repair is not the answer

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Materials we work on in Minehead

  • Acrylic baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Enamelled baths
  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths

Repairing versus replacing in Minehead

Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why Minehead customers choose us

How we price non-slip bath coating

We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. This is what makes a difference:

  • The type of damage
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The material and finish

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Minehead. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed price

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower tray

There’s no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

How it works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. We put on the clear non-slip coating.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, normally overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Point us to the nearest place to park

Ask for a price

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.

Advice

DIY kit or professional repair?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
