Should you replace it?

The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Non-slip bath coating at your home in Old Woking

It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. We’re frequently asked to fix worn-out textured areas and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet, on enamelled baths, wet room floors (ask us) and acrylic baths.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Work for landlords and builders

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

When a repair is not the answer

A repair isn’t always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. We cannot fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Enamelled baths

How it works

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes a few hours. The room is left tidy.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We put on the clear non-slip coating.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

How to prepare

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Getting a price

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

Prices and what affects them

We price every job individually, from your pictures. The main factors are:

  • How many areas need work
  • The material
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The type of damage

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Where you are, by postcode

Email us photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your GU22 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Worn-out textured areas
