About our non-slip bath coating in Over

The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. It suits older people, families and holiday lets. Typical jobs include a bath or tray that is slippery when wet and worn-out textured areas, across enamelled baths, acrylic baths and shower trays.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Over: your questions answered

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Are you accredited?

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

What happens after I send photos?

You get a fixed quote and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Normally, yes. The old repair comes out first.

How much does non-slip bath coating cost in Over?

Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

When to call us in Over

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, yet wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Worn-out textured areas
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
  • Safety for older or less mobile people

What your quote should include

  • Whether the price covers travel
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • What prep work is covered
  • How the colour is matched

10 questions to ask before you book

What non-slip bath coating costs

There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What kind of damage it is

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Over. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:

  • A wider photo showing the whole bath or shower tray
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Repairing versus replacing in Over

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Why us?

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

What we can’t put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Resurfaced baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Shower trays
  • Acrylic baths
  • Enamelled baths

What we do, step by step

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. We put on the clear non-slip coating.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, usually overnight.

How to prepare

  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
