Non-slip bath coating at your home in Prescot

It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. We work on enamelled baths, wet room floors (ask us) and shower trays, and people most often call us about worn-out textured areas and bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten.

Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Questions from Prescot

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Usually, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

What happens after I send photos?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Of course, and it usually saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.

Do you cover Prescot?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Prescot. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Are there extra charges for Prescot?

We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

What affects the price in Prescot

We charge the same across the UK, including Prescot. The price reflects:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The material
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What kind of damage it is

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Quotes from your photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • A wider photo showing the entire bath or shower tray
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Any details about the material
  • Details of any past repairs

Most customers in Prescot get their price from photos. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in St Helens and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

When we would advise against a repair

We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Acrylic baths

How the visit works

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which typically takes a morning or an afternoon. If anything looks different from your photos, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, typically overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Repair or replace in Prescot?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.

What you get with us

  • No need to remove anything
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
