Non-slip bath coating in Seven Dials, done in place

It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It’s popular with homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Our repair technicians work on wet room floors (ask us), acrylic baths and shower trays, and the jobs we see most are worn-out textured areas and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet.

Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

What we do, step by step

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we are doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. It normally takes a morning or an afternoon.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. We mask out the area to be treated.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, usually overnight.

Before we arrive

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Should you replace it?

Instead, you could go for a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten

  • Who turns up on the day
  • How your room will be protected
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show

Our hiring checklist

Can I fix it myself?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

What affects the price in Seven Dials

We price every job individually. The main factors are:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • How much damage there is
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Seven Dials. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Getting a price from pictures

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Any details about the material

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can price the job.
