Need non-slip bath coating in Standburn?

Why repair rather than replace?

The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating adds grip to the bath you have. Instead of hourly rates, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Non-slip bath coating in Standburn without replacing anything

It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. Typical jobs include resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and worn-out textured areas, in enamelled baths, shower trays and acrylic baths.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Do not use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Questions from Standburn

What information do you need?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

Can you repair several things at once?

Of course, and it usually saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.

Are you a vetted contractor?

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

Which areas do you work in?

The entire UK, including all of Falkirk. Just include your postcode and we will offer you dates.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before and we’ll plan for it.

What happens after I send pictures?

You get a fixed price and available dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.

Honest limits

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we work on

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Enamelled baths
  • Shower trays
  • Acrylic baths
  • Resurfaced baths

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

The process

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we are there, the work takes a few hours in most cases. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

How to prepare

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

Work for landlords and builders

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Prices and what affects them

You’ll know the full cost before booking. We look at:

  • The material
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many areas need work
  • How hard the colour is to match

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Standburn. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

If you are in Standburn and want a price, the easiest route is photos: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Common problems we fix in Standburn

Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

Keep an eye out for any of the following:

  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
  • Worn-out textured areas
  • A bath or tray that is slippery when wet

What to look for in a quote

  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • How your room will be protected
  • Whether the price covers travel
