Non-slip bath coating in Staplers, done in place
It suits homes with older or less mobile people, holiday lets and families. The coating is clear and textured, so the bath looks much the same. Whether it’s safety for older or less mobile people and a bath or tray that is slippery when wet, we can help, on shower trays, enamelled baths and acrylic baths alike.
All our work comes with our one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Avoid scourers on the coating.

Do you need non-slip bath coating in Staplers?
Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. Textured areas on older baths wear smooth too.
Get in touch if you’ve noticed:
- Safety for older or less mobile people
- Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth
- Worn-out textured areas
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
What your quote should include
- Who will actually do the work
- What prep work is covered
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
DIY kit or professional repair?
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
How we price non-slip bath coating
Prices are worked out job by job. What matters most is:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How much damage there is
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Quotes from your pictures
You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:
- Something in shot to show the size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Where you are, by postcode
- One picture of the entire bath or shower tray
To get a price, send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Repair or replace in Staplers?
The alternatives are a new textured bath or tray, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

The process
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- First the standing area is cleaned and degreased.
- The area to be treated is masked out.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
- We leave it to cure, typically overnight.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let us know which floor the room is on
Getting a price
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

For landlords and businesses
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
If you manage property in Staplers, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
What we cannot put right
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Staplers: your questions answered
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
You’ll get a fixed quote back. You are under no obligation.
Do you come to Staplers?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Staplers and the rest of Isle of Wight. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Usually, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Is a non-slip bath easy to clean?
Yes. A soft brush and mild cleaner is all it needs.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
Is there any odour?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
Will a non-slip coating change how my bath looks?
Very little: it shows as a matt area where you stand.
