Non-slip bath coating in Welwyn without replacing anything
The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. Typical jobs include safety for older or less mobile people and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth, in shower trays, acrylic baths and resurfaced baths.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

When to call us in Welwyn
Baths and trays are made smooth so they’re easy to clean, but with soap and water on them they become slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.
Look out for any of the following:
- Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
- Worn-out textured areas
- A bath or tray that is slippery when wet
- Safety for older or less mobile people
What to look for in a quote
- Whether they match the colour on site
- Whether the price covers travel
- What happens if they find more damage
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
What non-slip bath coating costs
We don’t charge extra for travel to Welwyn. The price depends on:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- How hard the colour is to match
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Welwyn. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
How to get a fixed quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A photo taken from further back
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Natural light rather than flash
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Will I see the coating?
Only slightly: the treated area looks slightly matt.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Are you accredited?

Why repair rather than replace?
Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or a bath mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.
What you get with us

- Most jobs done in one visit
- One-year guarantee on every repair

What we do, step by step
You don’t need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. It usually takes a few hours, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We clean and degrease the standing area.
- The area to be treated is masked out.
- We put on the clear non-slip coating.
- We remove the masking for a neat edge.
- Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Ensure the room can be ventilated

When a repair is not the answer
A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
- Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
- Outdoor surfaces
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.
What we work on
- Wet room floors (ask us)
- Acrylic baths
- Shower trays
- Enamelled baths
- Resurfaced baths
Can I fix it myself?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.
