How we handle non-slip bath coating in Wilcove

It’s a clear, textured coating, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It suits older people, families and holiday lets. Typical jobs include resurfaced baths that are now too smooth and bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten, across resurfaced baths, acrylic baths and wet room floors (ask us).

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

Do you need non-slip bath coating in Wilcove?

Smooth surfaces are easy to clean, but wet, soapy surfaces are slippery. The textured patch on an older bath also wears down over time.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Bath mats that harbour mould or get forgotten
  • Safety for older or less mobile people
  • Worn-out textured areas
  • Resurfaced baths that are now too smooth

How to compare quotes

What non-slip bath coating costs

Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • The material
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The type of damage
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

How to get a fixed quote

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Upload photos of the damage and one of the whole item, with your PL11 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Repair or replace: which is better?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A non-slip coating treats your existing bath or tray. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why book with us

  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • Fixed prices from your pictures

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Enamelled baths
  • Shower trays

What we do, step by step

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we are there. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. We lift the masking for a clean edge.
  5. Once it has cured, normally overnight, it’s ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Make sure the room can be ventilated

How to get a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.
