Non-slip bath coating for Wilton Dean homes

Non-slip bath coating in Wilton Dean without replacing anything

The coating is clear and textured, so it shows only as a slightly matt area where you stand. It suits older people, families and holiday lets. If you’re dealing with safety for older or less mobile people and resurfaced baths that are now too smooth, we can usually put it right, on shower trays, wet room floors (ask us) and resurfaced baths alike.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee. A soft brush and mild cleaner keep it clean. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

What affects the price in Wilton Dean

We give every job a fixed price from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • The type of damage
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Getting a price from photos

You can take the photos on your phone. Just make sure we can see:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Any details about the material
  • One picture of the entire bath or shower tray

Email us a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, with your TD9 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

When a repair is not the answer

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Wet room floors (ask us)
  • Acrylic baths
  • Shower trays
  • Resurfaced baths
  • Enamelled baths

Landlords, agents and businesses in Wilton Dean

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Choosing a repair company

How the visit works

When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a few hours. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We clean and degrease the standing area.
  2. Next we mask off the area.
  3. We apply the clear textured coating.
  4. The masking comes off to leave a neat edge.
  5. The coating is left to cure before use, normally overnight.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Getting a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower tray, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Instead, you could go for replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat that needs lifting and cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
