Our bath repair service in BD20
You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, mixing the colour on the day. We’re often asked to fix chips along the edge of the bath and damage beneath the taps, on acrylic, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding.
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take two to three hours for most chips, including clearing up.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the next day.
Pricing in BD20
Our bath repair starts from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

What a repair cannot fix
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The material
- How many areas need work
A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.
How to get a fixed price
Most quotes are done from photos alone. To help us price it:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Any details about the material
- One picture of the whole bath
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.
Work for landlords and builders
If you manage property in BD20, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send photos for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
DIY kit or professional repair?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
Should you replace it?
People often assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. Normally it doesn’t: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, without the cost and upheaval of replacing it.
Questions to ask before you book
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- What preparation is included
- How the room is protected while they work
Common questions in BD20
How do I book?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
Most of the time. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so access behind the panel is important.
What happens if you find more damage?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
Usually. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
