Bath repair at your home in CH25
Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. Our repair technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, pressed steel enamel and cast iron enamel, and the jobs we see most are chips caused by builders and rust spots around the plughole.
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Allow two to three hours for most chips. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
What you’ll pay
Prices start from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for CH25. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
What you get with us

How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Should you replace it?
People frequently assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. Typically it doesn’t: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement.
Questions to ask before you book
- How long it needs to cure
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. There’s no area surcharge for CH25. What changes the price is:
- How hard the colour is to match
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How much damage there is
- What the surface is made of
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
How to get a fixed price
You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- One picture of the whole bath
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- One sharp close-up of the damage
To get a price, send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
Looking after it afterwards
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath.
If water is getting through a crack, stop using the bath until it’s repaired. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
DIY kit or professional repair?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
When we’d advise against a repair
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- A steel bath rusted through
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
FAQs for CH25
I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Regularly. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.
Does someone need to be in?
We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.
Will the repair last?
A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and it’s guaranteed for a year. Gentle cleaning helps.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Frequently, if there is access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes, we match coloured baths too. The colour is tinted by hand on the day.
