Bath repair at your home in EX36
We see every kind of bath damage: dropped-bottle chips, plughole rust, acrylic cracks and impact holes. Each is repaired in place. We work on roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel, and the jobs we see most are cracks in an acrylic bath and holes from dropped items.
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to a morning or an afternoon, including clearing up.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
Prices in EX36
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Ask for a price
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
Local landmarks in South Molton
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to The Old Coaching Inn, Congregational Church and South Molton Community College. Other landmarks nearby include South Molton Hospital (under half a mile west).
When a repair is not the answer
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
For landlords and businesses
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details and we will arrange it.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Different materials, different repairs
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Why repair rather than replace?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim typically crack when it comes out, a new panel is often needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. A repair skips all of it.
What your quote should include
- If travel is included in the price
- When it can be used again
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
Looking after it afterwards
Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:
- Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
There’s nothing special to do after a repair, just sensible cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners.
Stop using the bath if a crack lets water through. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
FAQs for EX36
Can you price it without visiting?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.
What happens if you find more damage?
We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.
Do you work in EX36?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to EX36. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
Most of the time. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so we need access under the bath.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
What happens after I send pictures?
We review the photos and send a fixed quote with dates.
