Bath repair across NG11: what to expect
Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. We work on roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and common reasons people contact us are an old repair that has yellowed or come loose and chips caused by builders.
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and tidy away. Allow a few hours, depending on the damage. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to care for it.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, normally the next day.

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, include your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed price, not an estimate.
What’s near Clifton
We visit homes around The Glapton Academy, Rushcliffe Country Park and The Peacock pub and the streets around them. Other local landmarks include Corpus Christi Church (within half a mile south) and Farnborough School Technology College (0.7 miles north-east). The nearest railway station is Beeston station, roughly 1.6 miles north-west. Nearby you’ll also find Queen's Medical Centre (2.7 miles north) and Basford Rural District (1.3 miles east). For a walk, there is Wilford Hill and Wilwell Farm Nature Reserve.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
Work for landlords and builders
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, photos and access details.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
When a repair is not the answer
Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
Repairing versus replacing
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we will tell you.

Common questions in NG11
What do you need from me?
Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.
What happens after I send pictures?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Usually. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
Is there a call-out fee?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Do you come to NG11?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to NG11 and the rest of Nottingham. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
When can I have a bath again?
Most baths can be used the day after. We’ll tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
Will there be a smell?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
