Bath repair at your home in PE37
Most bath damage, from chips and cracks to rust spots and holes, can be repaired with the bath left exactly where it is. There is no plumbing to disconnect, the tiles aren’t touched, and the repaired area is colour-matched so it blends in. Our technicians work on whirlpool & spa baths, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are holes from dropped items and snagging damage from a refit.
Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for a few hours, depending on the damage from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the day after.
Pricing in PE37
Prices start from £95. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Local landmarks in Swaffham
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to Church of St Peter and St Paul, The Greyhound Public House and Swaffham CofE VC Infant & Nursery School. Other local landmarks include Swaffham Park (under half a mile south-west) and The Nicholas Hamond Academy (within half a mile south). Well-known places in the area include Swaffham Museum (less than half a mile north-west) and Castle Acre Town Defences (4 miles north).
DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
When we would advise against a repair
Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits too:
- Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling
Repairs by material
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.
Why repair rather than replace?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, a new panel is frequently needed, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. A repair skips all of it.
Questions to ask before booking
- Aftercare advice
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- What happens if they find more damage
Keeping it looking good
Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water can’t get in. Take it off before we arrive.
Questions from PE37
Can you quote from pictures?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.
How invisible is a bath repair?
The goal is a repair that blends in. How well it disappears depends on the condition of the rest of the bath.
How quickly can you book me in?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Is a bath repair durable?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Yes, we do this often. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
Do you charge for travel?
There is no separate call-out charge. Your fixed price includes everything.
