Shower tray repair & resurfacing in Ciliau Aeron, Ceredigion
Local shower tray repair for Ciliau Aeron: a fixed quote from pictures, a tidy visit and a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- A tray that flexes
- A damaged area around the waste
Why repair rather than replace?
When the tray is firm and dry underneath, repair is the obvious choice. If water has damaged the floor, or the tray is cracked in several places, a new tray may be better. Our shower tray repair starts from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Work for landlords and builders
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Ceredigion and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.
Repairs by material
Enamelled steel
Steel trays have an enamel surface like a steel bath. Chips can rust if they’re left, so it’s worth repairing early.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
What affects the price in Ciliau Aeron
Repairs from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- How much damage there is
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Access to the area
- How hard the colour is to match
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Ciliau Aeron. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Send photos for a quote
Two or three clear photos are normally enough. Try to include:
- A picture taken from further back
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The material, if you know it
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We’ll say immediately if a repair is the right fix.
Can I fix it myself?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
What we do, step by step
Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. Allow a few hours for a repair, longer for a full resurface.
- The surrounding area is sheeted and masked.
- Any sealant in the way is cut out.
- We clean and key the tray, then repair the damage.
- We refinish the surface to match the tray.
- We tidy up and tell you when you can shower.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Ensure the area is dry
- Make sure the room can be ventilated

Aftercare tips
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Do not use strong acids or bleach
- Get a moving tray checked
- Give the tray a quick rinse after use
- Don’t stand heavy bottles on the tray
Wait the full curing time before you shower. After that, mild cleaners and good ventilation are all it needs.
Act on split sealant early. Water gets behind and under the tray and can cause damage underneath.
Honest limits
A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:
- Rotten or damaged flooring underneath
- Trays cracked in several places
- Movement caused by a poor base, until the support is fixed
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
