Need shower tray repair in Foremark?

Foremark: your questions answered

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. If there’s more, we’ll tell you before starting.

Can I keep using a cracked tray?

We’d stop using it until it’s repaired, in case water is getting through.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We review the photos and send a fixed quote.

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Shower tray repair in Foremark, done in place

The first thing we do is check the tray: a tray that moves needs its support sorted first, or the crack will come back. We will explain what we find. Whether it’s chips caused during fitting and a dull, stained or worn surface, we can typically put it right, on acrylic, stone resin and ceramic alike.

We guarantee the work for a year. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

How the visit works

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job typically takes a few hours, or most of a day for a full resurface. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First, we check whether the tray moves.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned and opened up.
  3. Cracks are reinforced and the damage filled.
  4. The repair is shaped, colour matched and finished.
  5. It’s left to cure, usually until the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Stone resin

Stone resin trays are rigid and slim. They need a flat, solid base, and repairs are matched to the gel coat.

Acrylic

Acrylic trays are lighter and slightly flexible, so good support matters. Cracks and scratches can be repaired.

Honest limits

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, including:

  • A tray that flexes because it was never properly supported
  • A tray broken in more than one place
  • Leaking waste fittings

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Ceramic
  • Cast iron
  • Enamelled steel
  • Stone resin
  • Acrylic

Keeping it looking good

Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:

  • Keep heavy bottles on a shelf
  • Keep harsh chemicals off the tray
  • Clean with washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
  • Get a moving tray checked

Keep an eye on the sealant, and reseal when it starts to fail.

If the tray creaks or moves, get it checked, before it cracks.

Common problems we fix in Foremark

Trays fitted on timber floors can crack if the floor moves, especially if the tray wasn’t bedded properly. On solid floors, cracks normally point to an uneven base.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Scratches in the surface
  • Cracks running from the waste
  • A damaged area around the waste
  • A tray that flexes

10 questions to ask before you book

For landlords and businesses

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

What affects the price in Foremark

Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed price from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • The material and finish
  • The colour and finish to match
  • The type of damage
  • Doing more than one item at once

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Foremark. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any details about the material
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Details of any past repairs

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire shower tray, we can give you a fixed quote.
