Shower tray repair in Londonderry, done in place
We check the tray before repairing it: a tray that moves needs its support sorted first, or the crack will come back. We will tell you if that’s the case. We work on ceramic, enamelled steel and cast iron, and the jobs we see most are damage around the waste and staining and dullness across the tray.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

When to call us in Londonderry
Rigid trays don’t bend, they crack if the floor beneath them is not flat and fully supported. Movement in a timber floor has the same effect.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- Chips or cracks by the plughole
- A tray that flexes
- Edge chips from dropped bottles
- Cracks running from the waste

What else we do in Londonderry
What affects the price in Londonderry
Repairs from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Londonderry. The price comes down to:
- What kind of damage it is
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How much damage there is
- How easy the damage is to reach
Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Getting a price from pictures
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:
- Where you are, by postcode
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A wider photo showing the whole shower tray
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
When a repair isn’t the answer
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- A tray that flexes because it was never properly supported
- A tray broken in more than one place
- Leaking waste fittings
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Materials we repair
- Stone resin
- Ceramic
- Enamelled steel
- Acrylic
- Cast iron
Can I fix it myself?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
Work for landlords and builders
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.
Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a tray generally means refitting the screen, retiling and resealing. Repairing it avoids all of that and costs far less. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
What you get with us
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- One visit for most repairs
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- Free fixed quotes from pictures

Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Keep harsh chemicals off the tray
- Stick to gentle cleaners
- Get a moving tray checked
- Reseal when the silicone splits or turns black
Check the silicone around the tray every few months, and replace it when it splits or goes black.
Stop using the shower if the tray is cracked. Water can get through to the floor and walls, where it causes damage you cannot see.
What we do, step by step
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow a few hours, or most of a day for a full resurface. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and how to care for it.
- The surrounding area is sheeted and masked.
- Any sealant in the way is cut out.
- We clean and key the tray, then repair the damage.
- The surface is refinished to match.
- We clean up and give you the curing time.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
