Shower tray repair in Priddy without replacing anything
We repair a lot of shower trays. Chipped edges, cracks and worn finishes can all be put right without removing the tray. We regularly repair acrylic, enamelled steel and cast iron, and the jobs we see most are edge chips from dropped bottles and scratches in the surface.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard.

Repairing versus replacing in Priddy
Trays sit under the screen and tiles, so taking one out disturbs a lot. Repairing it avoids that disruption. Our shower tray repair starts from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Why book with us
- Everything repaired in place
- No extra charge for your area
- Fixed prices from your pictures
- We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
See our prices page.
The process
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a few hours for a repair, longer for a full resurface. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.
- First we check the tray is solid and work out why any crack happened.
- The damaged area, or the entire tray, is cleaned and prepared.
- Chips and cracks are filled, reinforced and sanded level.
- We match the colour, or refinish the full tray.
- The tray is left to cure and can usually be used the day after.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Make sure the room can be ventilated

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
How we price shower tray repair
Prices start from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Priddy. The price reflects:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- What the surface is made of
- What kind of damage it is
- The size and number of damaged areas
The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
Send photos for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- One picture of the whole shower tray
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Where you are, by postcode
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
Email us pictures of the damage and one of the entire item, with your BA5 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
What a repair can’t fix
It helps to know what we cannot do too:
- Water damage to the floor beneath the tray
- A tray that moves underfoot
- Trays cracked in several places

What else we do in Priddy
Landlords, agents and businesses in Priddy
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Ceramic
Ceramic gives a hard, high-gloss surface. They chip and crack from impact, and we match the gloss when we repair them.
Stone resin
Stone resin trays are heavy and rigid with a gel-coat finish. They crack if the base isn’t fully supported, and chips are filled and matched to the surface.
When to call us in Priddy
Rigid trays do not bend, they crack if the floor beneath them isn’t flat and fully supported. Movement in a timber floor has the same effect.
Look out for these signs:
- Staining and dullness across the tray
- Damage from a refit or building work
- A damaged area around the waste
- Scratches from cleaning or grit
