Shower tray repair at your home in Quarter
Shower tray repairs are one of our most common jobs. Chips by the waste, cracks across the base and dull, stained surfaces can all be put right without removing the tray. Whether it’s a tray that creaks or moves underfoot and edge chips from dropped bottles, we can normally put it right, on stone resin, enamelled steel and ceramic alike.
Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Looking after it afterwards
Aftercare is simple:
- Report any creaking or movement early
- Check the seal every few months
- Keep harsh chemicals off the tray
- Rinse away soap after showering
Give the repair its full curing time before showering. After that, gentle cleaning and good ventilation keep it in good shape.
A small crack lets in a little water every time you shower, which can damage the floor over time. Getting it repaired quickly is much cheaper than fixing a floor.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. You will not pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How much damage there is
- Access to the area
- How hard the colour is to match
- How many items we do on one visit
No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Quotes from your pictures
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The material, if you know it
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

- Scuffs and light scratches

How it works
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to a few hours, or most of a day for a full resurface.
- We check the tray for movement first.
- We clean the damage and open it up so the repair can bond.
- We reinforce any crack and fill the damage.
- We shape the repair, match the colour and finish it.
- We leave it to cure, normally until the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Let us know about parking or access

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a tray normally means refitting the screen, retiling and resealing. A repair leaves all of that untouched, at a fraction of the cost. Our shower tray repair starts from £95. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Your questions about shower tray repair in Quarter
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
When can I use the shower again?
Typically the day after. We’ll confirm before we leave.
Can you price it without visiting?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
Do you come to Quarter?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Quarter and the rest of South Lanarkshire. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
What information do you need?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
Can I keep using a cracked tray?
Not until you know the crack is not letting water through. Check the ceiling below for damp.
Different materials, different repairs
Ceramic
Ceramic trays are hard and glossy. Impacts can chip or crack them, and the repair is polished to match the shine.
Acrylic
Acrylic-capped trays are lighter, so a firm base is essential. We repair cracks and scratches.
