What your shower tray is made of matters
Ceramic
Ceramic gives a hard, high-gloss surface. They chip and crack from impact, and the repair is polished to match the shine.
Acrylic
Acrylic trays are lighter and slightly flexible, so a firm base is essential. We repair cracks and scratches.

What a repair cannot fix
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- Leaks from the waste or pipework (a plumber’s job)
- Rotten or damaged flooring underneath
- A tray that moves underfoot

What affects the price in Trecenydd
Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Trecenydd. What changes the price is:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Whether we combine several jobs
A repair usually costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Quotes from your pictures
Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

Aftercare tips
Simple care helps the repair last. Our advice:
- Keep the bathroom well ventilated
- Reseal when the silicone splits or turns black
- Rinse the tray after each shower
- Avoid strong descalers and bleach
Wait the full curing time before you shower. After that, mild cleaners and good ventilation are all it needs.
Do not keep using a cracked tray. Water may be getting under the tray, and the damage below is not visible.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Signs you need shower tray repair in Trecenydd
A tired-looking tray is frequently the result of years of cleaning: abrasive pads, strong chemicals and limescale wear the finish away.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- Damage around the waste
- Scratches in the surface
- Movement when you stand on it
- Damage from a refit or building work
What your quote should include
- How your room will be protected
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long

Should you replace it?
A new shower tray often means a new enclosure fitting, new tiling and new sealant. A repair leaves all of that untouched. Prices start from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
