Sink repair in Churchend

How we price sink repair

Repairs from £95. We price every job individually. What matters most is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Doing more than one item at once

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed quote

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Details of any past repairs

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the basin, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Sink repair at your home in Churchend

Antique and period basins are worth repairing, and we work around makers’ marks wherever possible. A like-for-like replacement can be hard to find. We regularly repair enamelled basins, antique & period basins and ceramic & vitreous china basins, and people most frequently call us about chips around the rim and damage to a basin in a vanity unit.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone.

Aftercare tips

A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:

  • Keep straighteners away from the basin
  • Get chips repaired early
  • Use mild cleaners only
  • Avoid abrasive pads

Don’t rest hot hair tools or heavy bottles on the rim, to avoid new chips.

Cracks by the tap holes can grow, so get it looked at early. If water is getting through, isolate the basin until it’s seen to.

For landlords and businesses

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

If you manage property in Churchend, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.

Repairs by material

Composite and resin

Many vanity units have resin or composite basins. Chips and scratches can be filled and matched, with colour mixed on site.

Vitreous china

Ceramic basins have a hard, glassy glaze. Matching that shine is the key to a good repair, so we finish the repair to the same sheen.

Churchend questions

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Will you remove the sink?

No, it stays where it is. We protect the area around it and work in place.

Do you charge for travel?

We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

How do I book?

Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Do you cover Churchend?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Churchend. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

What does sink repair cost?

Repairs from £95. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Why repair rather than replace?

A basin cracked through and leaking needs replacing. For chips and surface damage, repair is the better route. Prices start from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • Plumbing leaks
  • Through cracks that let water out
  • Crazing all over, which suits resurfacing

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Ceramic & vitreous china basins
  • Antique & period basins
  • Enamelled basins
  • Vanity unit basins
  • Belfast and butler sinks

Can I fix it myself?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

The process

You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First, we check the basin is firm and dry.
  2. The area is degreased and keyed.
  3. Filler is built up and sanded flush.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched.
  5. We tidy up and give you the curing time.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
