Sink Repair for Wood homes
We travel to Wood for chip, crack and resurfacing work on bathroom sinks and basins. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- A chipped basin edge
- A crazed, tired basin

How to look after the repair
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Use mild cleaners only
- Get chips repaired early
- Do not stand heavy bottles on the edge
- Ask a plumber not to overtighten fittings
A quick wipe after use helps, and avoid strong bleach or descalers.
A chip near the waste or taps can let water into the body of the basin. Early repair keeps it a small job.
Sink repair in Wood without replacing anything
If the whole basin is crazed or worn, it can be resurfaced in place, for a fresh, even finish. We’re often asked to fix a crack near the taps and a chipped basin edge, on vanity unit basins, ceramic & vitreous china basins and antique & period basins.
All our work comes with a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Pembrokeshire.

DIY kit or professional repair?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Period and antique
Older basins may have crazing, chips and makers’ marks. We repair them sympathetically and leave the character intact.
Composite and resin
Cast mineral and resin basins are common in vanity units. They repair well, with colour mixed on site.

For landlords and businesses
Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
The process
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take a few hours, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We check the basin is secure and not leaking.
- The area is degreased and keyed.
- We build up the filler and sand it flush.
- We match the colour and the gloss.
- We clear away and tell you when it can be used.
How to prepare
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
How to get a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole basin, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Common questions in Wood
Are you accredited?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Is there a guarantee?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.
Can a cracked sink be fixed?
Normally, if it isn’t leaking. A crack that leaks right through normally means a new basin.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.
Do you come to Wood?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to Wood and the rest of Pembrokeshire. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Why repair rather than replace?
Basins are often built into vanity units or tiled in, so changing one disturbs the surroundings. Repairing it keeps everything as it is. Our sink repair starts from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
