Tile repair in Borras

Landlord and trade work in Borras

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Wrexham and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Tile repair at your home in Borras

If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we will tell you. The tile stays where it is, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. Whether it’s drill holes from removed fittings and discontinued tiles you can’t replace, we can normally put it right.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Borras and across Wrexham. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Honest limits

We will not take on work that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Marble
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Porcelain tiles
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Natural stone & granite

How the visit works

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow a few hours from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Before we arrive

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

Choosing a repair company

Your questions about tile repair in Borras

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK, and that includes Borras. Prices do not change with location.

Is it messy?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.

Can landlords book you?

Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Do the materials smell?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.

Is there a call-out fee?

There’s no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. If photos don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Should you replace it?

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

How we price tile repair

Repairs from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How much damage there is
  • The material and finish
  • Doing more than one item at once

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

How to get a fixed price

You can generally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A picture taken from further back

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire tiled area, we can give you a fixed quote the same day in most cases.
