Tile repair at your home in Bradwall

We repair the tile in place, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. Whether it’s damaged tile edges and chips from dropped pans and tools, we can normally put it right, on ceramic tiles, marble and natural stone & granite alike.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Prices start from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access.

Bradwall: your questions answered

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.

Do I need to be at home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You do not need to watch us work.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

When can you do it?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

Can you repair a cracked floor tile without replacing it?

Normally, as long as it’s still firmly stuck down.

Do you cover Bradwall?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Bradwall and the rest of Cheshire East. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Can you fill holes left by old fittings?

Yes. We fill drill holes from removed fittings.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

When a repair is not the answer

A repair is not always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Porcelain tiles
  • Natural stone & granite
  • Marble
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Ceramic tiles

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Bradwall. What changes the price is:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • What the surface is made of

A repair normally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Quotes from your photos

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • The material, if you know it
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire tiled area, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

When to call us in Bradwall

Floor tiles chip when pans, tins and tools are dropped, while walls end up with drill holes from old fittings. Movement underneath can also crack tiles.

These are the problems we are asked about most:

  • Chips from dropped pans and tools
  • Discontinued tiles you can’t replace
  • Cracked floor tiles
  • Damaged tile edges

Comparing quotes

  • Who turns up on the day
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match

Landlords, agents and businesses in Bradwall

Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

What we do, step by step

We agree an arrival time beforehand, so you are not left guessing. Once we’re there, the work takes a morning or an afternoon. We leave the room clean.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. We shape the repair flush with the tile.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Make sure the area is dry
