Tile repair in Bramcote without replacing anything

We repair the tile in place, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. We’re frequently asked to fix damaged tile edges and chips from dropped pans and tools, across natural stone & granite, floor and wall tiles and marble.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

The process

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a few hours, including clearing up.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. Next we fill the damage.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.

Preparing for the visit

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

How to get a price

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

Advice

Work for landlords and builders

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Bramcote as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.

What a repair can’t fix

We won’t take on work that will not last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Porcelain tiles
  • Marble
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Natural stone & granite

What tile repair costs

Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:

  • Access to the area
  • The material and finish
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Unusual colours or finishes

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Send photos for a quote

Phone photos are fine, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any details about the material
  • A wider photo showing the entire tiled area
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

Most clients in Bramcote get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Should you replace it?

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why us?

  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • One visit for most repairs
  • One-year guarantee on every repair

Can I fix it myself?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
