Tile repair for Epsom homes

Tile repair in Epsom without replacing anything

We repair the tile in place, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We regularly repair floor and wall tiles, ceramic tiles and natural stone & granite, and people most often call us about cracked floor tiles and discontinued tiles you can’t replace.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Epsom and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

When a repair isn’t the answer

We will not take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Natural stone & granite
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Marble
  • Porcelain tiles
  • Ceramic tiles

What we do, step by step

Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. The work itself takes a few hours, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • Access to the area
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The type of damage
  • How many areas need work

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Epsom. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Quotes from your pictures

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • A wider photo showing the whole tiled area
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Where you are, by postcode

For a price in Epsom, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

FAQs for Epsom

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.

What does tile repair cost?

Repairs from £95. We give a fixed quote based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Can you repair a cracked floor tile without replacing it?

Often, yes, as long as it’s still firmly stuck down.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Do the materials smell?

It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Epsom

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Our tile repair starts from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
