Tile repair in Flitwick

Tile repair at your home in Flitwick

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. Typical jobs include cracked floor tiles and discontinued tiles you can’t replace, on floor and wall tiles, natural stone & granite and ceramic tiles.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

What affects the price in Flitwick

Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Flitwick. The price reflects:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How many areas need work
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Doing more than one item at once

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Quotes from your pictures

Before you send pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A picture taken from further back

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole tiled area, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Do I have to be there?

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and possibly cracking its neighbours. A repair keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Why us?

  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

See our prices page.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

How it works

Your technician turns up when we said we would and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes a few hours, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. We shape the repair flush with the tile.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Before we arrive

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Ensure the area is dry
