Tile repair for Gwynedd homes

Tile repair in Gwynedd, done in place

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will tell you. We repair the tile in place, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. Whether it’s chips from dropped pans and tools and damaged tile edges, we can generally put it right, on marble, floor and wall tiles and natural stone & granite alike.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

The process

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

Your questions about tile repair in Gwynedd

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

Can you fill holes left by old fittings?

Yes. Drill holes from old rails and shelves are a common job.

Can tenants book a repair?

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Gwynedd.

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed quote from photos. This is what makes a difference:

  • How much damage there is
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The material
  • The type of damage

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

How to get a fixed price

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A photo taken from further back
  • What it’s made of, if you know

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
