Tile repair near Martin Hussingtree

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

About our tile repair in Martin Hussingtree

We repair the tile in place, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. We are often asked to fix drill holes from removed fittings and cracked floor tiles, on natural stone & granite, marble and ceramic tiles.

Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Worcestershire. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Questions from Martin Hussingtree

What happens if you find more damage?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

What areas do you cover?

All of Worcestershire, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.

Can a cracked tile be fixed in place?

Frequently, yes, if it is not loose.

Will you leave a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.

Can pets and children be at home?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

When can you do it?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.

Are there extra charges for Martin Hussingtree?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:

  • How many areas need work
  • The material and finish
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The type of damage

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Getting a price from pictures

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:

  • The material, if you know it
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

If you are in Martin Hussingtree and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

What a repair cannot fix

We’d rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we work on in Martin Hussingtree

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and risking the tiles around it. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Our tile repair starts from £95. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Why us?

  • Everything repaired in place
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • A year’s guarantee on all work

Can I fix it myself?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

The process

Visits start with a quick look at the job together. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. You can expect it to take a few hours, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. We shape the repair flush with the tile.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
