How we handle tile repair in Mattingley
A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. We repair the tile in place, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. Whether it’s drill holes from removed fittings and discontinued tiles you can’t replace, we can help, on natural stone & granite, floor and wall tiles and ceramic tiles alike.
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Hampshire. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Common questions in Mattingley
What happens next?
We come back with a fixed price, generally with dates to choose from. You are under no obligation.
Can a cracked tile be fixed in place?
Often, yes, as long as it’s still firmly stuck down.
Is it messy?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
Can landlords book you?
Yes, often. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
Do you work in Mattingley?
We do. We send a technician to Mattingley for every job, with no extra charge for travel.

- Whether they match the colour on site
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
What tile repair costs
Repairs from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to Mattingley. The price depends on:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The colour and finish to match
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Send photos for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A picture taken from further back
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Work for landlords and builders
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and possibly cracking its neighbours. A repair leaves the tile where it is. Our tile repair starts from £95. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why us?
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
- Same prices wherever you are
- Generally one visit, start to finish
- Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

What we do, step by step
You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
- Next we fill the damage.
- We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
- We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
- Finally we seal it to match the tile.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Clear the area around the damage

DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
