Tile repair in Neath without replacing anything

If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we will tell you. We repair the tile in place, so you don’t need to find a spare. Common call-outs are for cracked floor tiles and discontinued tiles you can’t replace, on ceramic tiles, floor and wall tiles and natural stone & granite.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Can I fix it myself?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

How the visit works

When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a morning or an afternoon. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

How to compare quotes

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. A repair keeps the original tile. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Neath. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

  • Whole walls of failing grout

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Neath

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed price. This is what makes a difference:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • What the surface is made of
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The type of damage

A repair usually costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.

How to get a fixed price

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • One picture of the whole tiled area
  • Any details about the material
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

To get a price, send two or three pictures using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
