Tile repair near St Pancras

Tile repair in St Pancras, done in place

The tile stays where it is, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. Whether it’s cracked floor tiles and chips from dropped pans and tools, we can help, on natural stone & granite, ceramic tiles and marble alike.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we will come back. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

What we do, step by step

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. Next we fill the damage.
  3. We shape the repair flush with the tile.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Before we arrive

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Have a window or extractor fan available

Getting a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire tiled area, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

What we cannot put right

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Porcelain tiles
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Marble
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Natural stone & granite

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A picture taken from further back
