Tile repair for Team Valley homes

For landlords and businesses

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Tile repair in Team Valley, done in place

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll say so. The tile stays where it is, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. Our repair technicians work on natural stone & granite, floor and wall tiles and marble, and the jobs we see most are discontinued tiles you can’t replace and drill holes from removed fittings.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Team Valley and across Newcastle upon Tyne. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Common questions in Team Valley

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

What about drill holes in tiles?

Yes. We fill drill holes from removed fittings.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

How do I book?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

In most cases. The old repair comes out first.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

What you get with us

  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • No need to remove anything
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

DIY kit or professional repair?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We take into account:

  • How many areas need work
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Team Valley. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

Phone photos are fine. Ensure they show:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A photo taken from further back
  • The material, if you know it

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the tiled area, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Common problems we fix in Team Valley

Dropped pans and tools chip floor tiles, and wall tiles get drilled for fittings that are later removed. Movement underneath can also crack tiles.

If you can see any of these, send us a picture:

  • Damaged tile edges
  • Drill holes from removed fittings
  • Discontinued tiles you cannot replace
  • Cracked floor tiles

How to compare quotes

How it works

From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the work takes a morning or an afternoon, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We clean the tile and remove loose fragments.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
