About our tile repair in Temple Bar

The tile stays where it is, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we will say so. Whether it’s damaged tile edges and cracked floor tiles, we can help.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re covered after the visit. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

How the visit works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It generally takes a morning or an afternoon, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. The chip, crack or hole is filled.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. We match the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Advice

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. A repair leaves the tile where it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Most jobs done in one visit

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

What a repair cannot fix

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

What we work on

  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Natural stone & granite

Our hiring checklist

Work for landlords and builders

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Greater London and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

What tile repair costs

Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • How many areas need work
  • What the surface is made of
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Send photos for a quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • One picture of the entire tiled area

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole tiled area, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
