Book tile repair in Tyburn

Should you replace it?

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and risking the tiles around it. A repair keeps the original tile. Our tile repair starts from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

What you get with us

  • We leave the room as we found it

About our tile repair in Tyburn

A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. We repair the tile in place, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. We regularly repair marble, porcelain tiles and natural stone & granite, and people most frequently call us about cracked floor tiles and damaged tile edges.

You are covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Tyburn questions

Do you charge for travel?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Do I need to be at home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You don’t need to watch us work.

How do I book?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.

Can tenants book a repair?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just make sure the landlord agrees.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

How soon can you come?

We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Is there any odour?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It fades as everything cures.

What we cannot put right

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.

How the visit works

You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
  2. Next we fill the damage.
  3. The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

Preparing for the visit

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

Advice

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

What tile repair costs

Repairs from £95. There is no charge for travel to Tyburn. The price depends on:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How many areas need work
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How many items we do on one visit

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book.

Send pictures for a quote

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

To get a price, send two or three photos using our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
