Toilet chip repair in Bouts, done in place

Chips are rebuilt and colour-matched to the glaze, so the toilet stays in place. Leaking cracks need the toilet replacing, and we’ll say so if we find one. Common call-outs are for damage from dropped items and chips on the cistern lid, on porcelain, toilet pans and pedestals.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Take care with heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Bouts. The price reflects:

  • Access to the area
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The material and finish

Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.

How to get a fixed price

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Where you are, by postcode

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire toilet, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Honest limits

To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Porcelain
  • Vitreous china
  • Cisterns & lids
  • Pedestals
  • Toilet pans

FAQs for Bouts

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.

Can you quote from pictures?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your pictures and you will get one combined price.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

Your quote covers the damage in the photos. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.

Do you work in Bouts?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and come to Bouts. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Worcestershire.

Will you leave a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.

How soon can you come?

We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details and we will arrange it.

Should you replace it?

A new toilet means a plumber and sometimes new flooring around the pan, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. Repairing the chip leaves it in place. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

How it works

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the work takes an hour or two. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.

  1. We start by cleaning and drying the damage.
  2. Next we rebuild the missing piece to its original shape.
  3. It’s sanded flush.
  4. The glaze is colour matched and finished.
  5. Finally we polish it into the surrounding glaze.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Ensure the area is dry
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
