Toilet chip repair in Covesea without replacing anything
Leaking cracks need the toilet replacing, and we’ll say so if we find one. We rebuild the damaged area and match it to the glaze, so you do not need a plumber or a new toilet. Common call-outs are for marks on the outside of the pan and damage from dropped items, across cisterns & lids, toilet pans and porcelain.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Take care with heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- How many items we do on one visit
- The colour and finish to match
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- What kind of damage it is
The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
How to get a fixed price
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A wider photo showing the entire toilet
Most clients in Covesea get their price from photos. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
The process
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the work takes one to two hours. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- First the damaged area is cleaned and dried.
- We fill and rebuild missing material to the original shape.
- We sand it flush.
- We match the colour to the glaze.
- We polish the repair to blend it in.
How to prepare
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Advice
Can I fix it myself?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
Work for landlords and builders
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Questions from Covesea
Do the materials smell?
Expect a mild smell while we are working, which fades afterwards.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
What about a leaking crack?
No. That needs a new toilet. We fix chips and broken pieces.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
Which areas do you work in?
Everywhere in the UK, Covesea included. Travel is included in the price.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.
Repair or replace in Covesea?
Replacing a toilet means a plumber and sometimes new flooring around the pan, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. A repair keeps the toilet you have. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Why us?
