Toilet chip repair near Cressage

Toilet chip repair in Cressage without replacing anything

Leaking cracks need the toilet replacing, and we’ll say so if we find one. Chips are rebuilt and colour-matched to the glaze, so you don’t need a plumber or a new toilet. Whether it’s chips on the cistern lid and pieces knocked off during fitting, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Avoid dropping heavy items and clean the outside of the pan gently.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

Questions from Cressage

Is there a guarantee?

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Will you leave a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

What about a leaking crack?

No. That needs a new toilet. We repair cosmetic chips and breaks.

Can tenants book a repair?

We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just make sure the landlord agrees.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Can a chipped toilet be fixed?

Yes. Chips to the pan, rim, cistern and lid are the most common jobs.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We take into account:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The material and finish

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

How to get a fixed quote

Phone photos are fine. Just ensure we can see:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any details about the material
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole toilet, we can price the job.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a toilet needs a plumber and possibly new flooring, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. Repairing the chip leaves it in place. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why us?

  • No extra charge for your area
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job

When a repair isn’t the answer

It helps to know what we can’t do:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.

Landlord and trade work in Cressage

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.

What happens on the day

We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we are doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. You can expect it to take one to two hours, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.

  1. We clean and dry the damaged area.
  2. Next we rebuild the missing piece to its original shape.
  3. It’s sanded flush.
  4. We match the colour to the glaze.
  5. The repair is polished so it blends in.

Before we arrive

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
