About our toilet chip repair in Levenshulme

We rebuild the damaged area and match it to the glaze, so you do not need a plumber or a new toilet. A crack that leaks can’t be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we’ll say so if we find one. We are frequently asked to fix pieces knocked off during fitting and damage from dropped items, on cisterns & lids, vitreous china and pedestals.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Avoid dropping heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

  • Whether they match the colour on site

10 questions to ask before booking

Should I try a DIY kit first?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

How we price toilet chip repair

Repairs from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to Levenshulme. The price comes down to:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How much damage there is
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking.

How to get a fixed quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • A wider photo showing the whole toilet
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Natural light rather than flash

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire toilet, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

FAQs for Levenshulme

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Levenshulme.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.

What happens next?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we will tell you.

Can pets and children be at home?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

What areas do you cover?

We cover the whole UK, including Levenshulme and the rest of Greater Manchester. Just include your postcode and we will confirm dates.

Should you replace it?

A new toilet needs a plumber and possibly new flooring, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. A repair keeps the toilet you have. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

The process

You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take one to two hours, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. We start by cleaning and drying the damage.
  2. Next we rebuild the missing piece to its original shape.
  3. We sand the repair level.
  4. We colour-match and finish the glaze.
  5. Finally we polish it into the surrounding glaze.

Before we arrive

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

How to get a price

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Work for landlords and builders

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

What we cannot put right

We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • A crack that leaks water
  • A crack through the bowl or trap
  • A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Pedestals
  • Vitreous china
  • Porcelain
  • Cisterns & lids
  • Toilet pans
