- Repairs from £95
- Pieces knocked off during fitting
- Chips on the pan or rim

How we handle toilet chip repair in Mayon
Chips are rebuilt and colour matched to the glaze, so you do not need a plumber or a new toilet. A crack that leaks can’t be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we’ll say so if we find one. Typical jobs include chips on the pan or rim and pieces knocked off during fitting, on pedestals, vitreous china and cisterns & lids.
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Take care with heavy items and clean the outside of the pan gently.

What a repair cannot fix
We won’t take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:
- A crack that leaks water
- A crack through the bowl or trap
- A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Should you replace it?
Replacing a toilet means a plumber and possibly new flooring, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. A repair keeps the toilet you have. Our toilet chip repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why Mayon clients choose us
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- Everything repaired in place
- One price list for the entire UK
- Usually one visit, start to finish

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
Mayon: your questions answered
Do you charge for travel?
We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.
How do I book?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We will be honest if it’s not worth it.
Can you price it without visiting?
Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
Can you repair a chipped toilet?
Yes. Chips to the pan, rim, cistern and lid are the most common jobs.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
How we price toilet chip repair
Prices start from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material
- What kind of damage it is
- The size and number of damaged areas
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from photos
When you take your pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- Something in shot to show the size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Natural light rather than flash
- A wider photo showing the whole toilet
Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you are in Mayon, and we will reply with a fixed quote.
The process
You don’t need to empty the room. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take one to two hours, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- We clean and dry the damaged area.
- Next we rebuild the missing piece to its original shape.
- We sand the repair level.
- We match the colour to the glaze.
- The repair is polished so it blends in.
Getting ready for the visit
- Open a window if you can
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Let us know about parking or access
Get a quote
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos through our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.
Advice
Work for landlords and builders
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
For anyone letting property in or around Mayon, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.
