Toilet chip repair at your home in Varfell
Chips are rebuilt and colour matched to the glaze, so the toilet stays in place. A crack that leaks can’t be fixed with a cosmetic repair, and we’ll tell you if that’s what we find. We are often asked to fix damage from dropped items and pieces knocked off during fitting, on porcelain, cisterns & lids and toilet pans.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Varfell as everywhere else we work. Take care with heavy items and use non-abrasive cleaners on the outside of the pan and cistern.

What affects the price in Varfell
Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:
- The material
- Doing more than one item at once
- How hard the colour is to match
- What kind of damage it is
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
How to get a fixed quote
Phone pictures are fine, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you’re in Varfell, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
Work for landlords and builders
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Varfell use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

Varfell questions
Is repairing better than replacing?
Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Do you come to Varfell?
Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Varfell from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.
Can pets and children be at home?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.
What information do you need?
Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire toilet and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
Do you hold any accreditations?
Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.
How it works
Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes one to two hours, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- We start by cleaning and drying the damage.
- Missing material is filled and rebuilt to the original shape.
- We sand it flush.
- We colour-match and finish the glaze.
- Finally we polish it into the surrounding glaze.
Preparing for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
Getting a price
We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a toilet needs a plumber and sometimes new flooring around the pan, and a matching cistern may no longer be made. Repairing the chip leaves it in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.
What you get with us

- Work done at your home or business

DIY kit or professional repair?
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
When we would advise against a repair
Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs will not solve:
- A crack that leaks water
- A crack through the bowl or trap
- A loose pan or leaking seal (that’s a plumbing job)
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
